evaluation
While various governments across the globe have taken action towards solving the issue, the projects undertaken have had varying ineffectiveness. While the concept of tiger reserves established by Project Tiger is effective, the actual management of tiger reserves has been unstable over the years, with four reserves deemed unsatisfactory to the standards set by the National Tiger Conservation Authority this year. In addition, the habitat outside these reserves is still extremely unstable, with extreme prominence of poaching and large-scale development continuing to threaten the ecological sustainability of the areas. In addition, there are a myriad of difficulties which have been encountered by the Chinese government amidst their project to save the South China Tiger. Currently, there is an inadequate level of research and information regarding on a variety of factors such as the quantity and structure of wild populations, as well as behavioural patterns and major environmental impacts; this prevents accurate decision making involving plans and projects. Furthermore, there are increasing conflicts between the protection efforts of the government and China's growing economic development, each of which seriously threatens the success of the other.
